Blanch House Through the doors of Brighton’s original boutique hotel

Celebrating over seven glorious years under the ownership of couple Kerry and Jeremy, the multi-award winning Blanch House is a Georgian boutique hotel that is as unique as the city it sits proudly within.

Take a wander through Brighton’s vibrant, bohemian and historic district of Kemptown and there, set within a quiet Georgian terrace in Atlingworth Street, is the iconic Blanch House.  Just a stones throw away from Brighton’s iconic seafront and a short meander away from the buzzy atmosphere of Kemptown’s quirky cafes, indie shops, antique treasure troves and bars, this friendly and elegant hotel is comprised of 12 uniquely designed guest bedrooms, a decadent function suite and a relaxed, elegant Champagne & Cocktail Bar and lounge.

Brighton is a quirky city full of a uniquely creative charm and this has inspired the hotel’s décor throughout.  Kerry and Jeremy clearly have impeccable taste.  As you enter the hotel, you immediately feel a sense of occasion, married with a welcoming and homely vibe.  The owners have managed to fuse contemporary clean lines with sporadic bursts of grandeur, keeping a modern feel but with a firm nod the building’s historic past.

Upon booking the hotel, guests are given a choice of which room they would like to stay within, each with its own unique theme, décor and colour scheme.  There is a room to suit every taste from Legacia’s art deco backdrop, Pommery’s Champagne theme to Alice’s fantasy mirror look.

If you like quirky and contemporary, then uplifting ‘Alice’ room with its mirror-patterned wallpapered room is your Wonderland!  This delightful superior double room was inspired by Lewis Carroll’s legendary character Alice and her adventures – an iconic take that happened to be written right there in Kemptown! On opening the door to the Alice Room, you’ll find yourself being welcomed by an enchanting and bright room with a fun take on the looking glass theme.  Even the en-suite shower room has a magical feel.

Lovers of Art Deco style and a touch of luxury will be enchanted by the Legacia feature room, with its chandelier, super king-sized bed and glorious side-sea view from the superb Regency bay window.  The stylish bathroom, with free standing roll top bath and separate shower, completes the experience – immerse yourself in a bygone era.

The jewel in the Blanch House crown has to be the Pommery feature room.  Founded in 1836, Pommery is among the most prestigious Champagne houses. The Blanch House Pommery Room marks the hotel’s partnership with the brand and pays homage to the incredible Madame Pommery.

Drawing on inspiration from this Grand Dame, the Pommery Room is decorated in rich gold tones with sumptuous furnishings, with modern twists from accents of the Pommery branding. The bright room fills you with a sense of escapism with light streaming through the side sea view room. Watch the world go by or relax in the bath with a glass of Pommery.

The rooms all range in terms of sizes and room rates available, starting with a cosy double going up to a rather grand feature double – some can also be made a twin. All room rates are inclusive of a freshly-cooked full English and continental award-winning breakfast.  Breakfast is served in the sophisticated ‘Belle Epoque’ dining room, situated at the rear of the building.  As well as your classic full English, hot breakfast also come in the form of an incredibly naughty American pancakes with maple syrup, bacon and fruit and Eggs Benedict, amongst others.  If a cold breakfast is your choice for starting the day, then you will be well catered for at the buffet which boasts pastries, granola, cereals and a whole host of fresh fruit.
