640 East

Welcoming you to 640 East, the perfect destination for coffee by day, cocktails, and small plates by night in North Laine.

The venue is the latest hot spot with its eccentric look as it follows an industrial style, with metallic chandeliers and tables in all shapes and sizes, surrounded by huge bay windows that look out onto the lively lanes.

Owner Ross Blake has finally set up in his hometown after making successes of restaurants in London and Bristol, which explains his quirky style of the venue.

The cocktail list features a range of classic bespoke cocktails and mocktails, like the “Foraged” which is a refreshing twist on a Tom Collins, or the “Flu Jab.”

The evening food menu consists of both plant based and non-plant based plates and sides, with four or five options in each. For the main dishes, there are a variety to choose from with great plant-based options, like, “The Miso Roasted Cabbage” or for a non-plant based- the special “Roasted Scallop.”

Many events take place in the venue, with a calendar, and local chefs and producers planned at the ready- there is always something exciting going on.
