Petit Pois

Petit Pois is a delightful charming and elegant French eatery that sits just a stone’s throw away from the sea with an accessible contemporary menu and extensive wine list to boot.

The small, family fun restaurant is located on Ship street and has a warm and inviting glow with its rustic cosy décor.

The menu is split into nibbles where you can feast on renowned French delicacies like snails and frogs’ legs, les Assets, fish, meat, and vegetable dishes, with a selection of tempting sounding sides and a notably robust children’s menu to suit both the fussiest or more audacious little eaters.

Catering for everyone there are options for vegetarians too- with “goats cheese croquettes” to start and an “wild mushroom ravioli” for the main.

The extensive wine menu lists a fine selection of tipples from across France, with “Gros Manseng-Sauvignon” or “Loire Muscadet” as specialities from the South of France.

From Monday to Friday they offer a set menu between 12-7pm that offers two plates for £11, and three or £16 which is incredible value and has a massive variety of choice allowing you to embrace the French cuisine even on a budget.
