Steven Edwards, owner of Etch has devoted his career to the sensual enjoyment of fine dining. This British chef has won the sixth series of MasterChef and has followed a wealth of training from the country’s top chefs including Raymond Blanc, not forgetting his six-year portfolio at Sussex’s five-star South Lodge.

On offer at Etch is a choice of four, six or eight course tasting menus, with a suburb wine list perfectly paired to each dish. The dishes are served as a culinary performance of popping colours and shapes with Steven’s signature sharp lines and attention to detail.

The six-course menu starts with dishes such as “tomato and fennel gazpacho” usually associated with Spanish cuisine demonstrating how Etch serves dishes from all over the world. Serving mains such as fresh “black bream” and a favourite, “Pea and Mint custard with crème fraiche” using only locally sourced ingredients, Etch really does serve magnificent dishes.
